This is my grandmother who turned 87 today. It is only today that she told me that in 1937th – notorious for its monstrous political repressions – 24 members of her family and closest friends were murdered. 24! Poor intelligentsia.

She was a beauty. 24 members of her family. My own family was touched by that time, and I would like for you to kiss your grandmother on the cheek and whisper to her that a guy named Mike was touched by her photo and experience.
